Civica Connect - History
Civica Connect is a business unit within Civica UK Ltd, one of the UK’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and managed services for the public sector, with a breadth and depth that few can match.

Prior to it’s acquisition by Civica, Comino Connect, as it was formerly known, formed part of Comino plc, a provider of software solutions for Social Housing, Local Government and Occupational Pensions administration. Comino provided Workflow and Electronic Document Management systems to over 400 organisations in Occupational Pensions, Social Housing and Local Government.

Comino Connect joined with Comino in 2000 to boost the e-commerce aspects of Comino Group’s business and provide Internet Service Provision (ISP), Application Service Provision (ASP), server management and remote network management. Prior to this, Comino Connect has been operating and supplying business critical solutions in its own right, for almost ten years.

In December 2004 Comino Group announced that action had been taken to make more of its Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) software. CTI has become a significant product and solution set in its own right. Existing staff were transferred to Comino Connect creating a specialist team to further promote CTI to both Comino Group customers and to new customers alike.

In January 2005 Comino Connect acquired ICT Associates, allowing us to deliver quality Internet based voice and data services. Channel Network Awards finalists ICT Associates were already an existing business partner of Comino Connect, and positioned as a leading supplier of voice and data convergence and customer contact centre solutions.
