Civica Connect  wins “Best Stand Award” at  National Housing Federation conference.
Civica Connect took a market-leading position in response to the need for organisations to reduce carbon emissions and improve environmental sustainability, by focusing on “greener ICT” at the recent IT in Housing conference.

To demonstrate their commitment to this message, Civica Connect offset the carbon emissions created by its attendance at the NHF event, by supporting reforestation in Kenya.  In addition, no brochures were printed for the event, reducing paper consumption.

During the conference, demonstrations of low power consumption technology and carbon reducing solutions were given to delegates illustrating how they can reduce their impact on the environment.  The message proved popular with event delegates, leading to the receipt of the award.

New environmental legislation is making the green agenda a priority for the public sector, a sector which as well as being the largest user of IT, has a responsibility to set a good example.  This is compelling organisations to reduce their power consumption and their carbon footprints.
