Simon Downing is CEO of Civica Group Ltd and has 20 years experience in the IT industry in a variety of management roles. He was responsible for the formation of Civica following the management buyout of a UK listed software business with Alchemy Partners in January 2000.  He then led the IPO of Civica plc, in March 2004, and the subsequent growth of the business, doubling the profits of the business in 3 years. As a graduate engineer Simon spent his early career with British Leyland and ICL. He is married with three children and lives in London.
