Paul is a qualified mechanical engineer and was appointed chief executive of VT Group plc, the defence and support services company, in 2002.  Previously he was group managing director of Balfour Beatty PLC from 1997 to 2002.   He is a Non-Executive Director of Chloride Group plc.  He was formerly chief executive of Graseby plc and has held senior management position with Schlumberger and the Dowty Group plc. Paul is a member of the Alchemy Partners advisory board.
