27 February 2008, London: Civica plc (“Civica” or “the Company”), the software and services group focused on the public sector, today held its Annual General Meeting. All resolutions put to shareholders were duly passed and in respect of each resolution the following votes by proxy were received.

Commenting on the business, chief executive Simon Downing said:
“The Civica group continues to make progress in line with our stated strategy. We remain confident of the Company’s prospects in the current year to 30 September and beyond.
Civica continues to win new business in the UK and internationally including, among others:
- Adoption of a corporate workflow solution as part of a transformation partnership at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council, and specialist applications for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and Northern Grampians in Australia
- New housing systems for the A2Dominion Housing Group and for building services firm Jackson Lloyd
- Continued momentum in libraries with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham the first London council to sign up to Civica’s shared service model
- A £1m framework agreement with West Mercia Constabulary
Since the year end, we have increased investment to expand existing operations, particularly in the Education market where specific opportunities exist. In addition to our strategy of building scale through investment and targeted acquisitions, we will also continue to look for opportunities to return further value to shareholders through share buybacks and a progressive dividend policy.”
