Camera surveillance, Automatic Number Plate Recognition and PNC access

At this year's Traffex exhibition, Civica, one of the UK's most experienced specialist providers of public sector software and services, is demonstrating advanced mobile solutions for police enforcement and town centre security. Increasingly featuring the integration of CCTV and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) with advanced mobile and browser technology, the company is rolling out integrated solutions that offer greater efficiency and improved capabilities for intelligence-led policing. These draw on Civica's extensive experience of integrating and delivering proven applications and specialist technology, particularly camera surveillance, ANPR, Mobile Data and PNC access devices. The company offers complete, low-risk solutions from fully managed services to specialist systems. Civica's ANPR systems are widely used in both mobile and static operations using rugged, portable systems and vehicle-based installations, increasingly integrated with CCTV. New developments include:

Civica's Panther ANPR is the company's latest, portable Automatic Number Plate Recognition system, with the ability to monitor multiple lanes of high-speed traffic whilst deployed in hot, cold, dry or wet environments, day or night. It is one of a series of solutions in Civica's ANPR portfolio, systems that are helping customers to ease traffic management and tackle crime.
The Cobra CCTV/ANPR Vehicle brings together powerful CCTV and ANPR technologies in an effective, safe and comfortable environment. The Cobra vehicle is an invaluable tool in the campaign for safer cities, less congested streets and more effective traffic enforcement.
Through e-PNC, Civica provides web browser access to the Police National Computer. As Insight and subsequently Sanderson Insight, the company pioneered the migration of PNC access through "green screen" terminals to desktop PCs, and continues that evolution with the introduction of e-PNC.
