Civica plc. 2006 Annual General Meeting.                                             

On 1st March 2006 Civica held its Annual General Meeting. All resolutions put to shareholders were duly passed. Commenting on the business, chief executive Simon Downing said:

“Civica continued to meet performance expectations in the last financial period and I am pleased to report that we remain confident of the company’s prospects in the current year to 30 September and beyond.

The acquisition in February of Comino Group plc (“Comino”), an established provider of customer service and administration systems for local government, social housing and occupational pensions, represents the most significant development for the group to date.

The combined business now has a leading position in the delivery of integrated front office, service delivery and transaction processing systems. The merged entity also offers the potential of significant efficiency gains and a restructuring program to achieve these benefits is underway.
