Appointment of Non-Executive Chairman
Civica is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Roberts as non-executive chairman of the group with effect from August 2008.

Andy Roberts has spent over thirty years in the IT Industry.  For the last ten years he has concentrated on Chairman roles in Technology, IT Software and Services companies.  Currently he is Chairman of Kewill plc (UK FTSE quoted), and Vega plc (recently acquired by Finnmeccanica).  In addition to his Public Company roles, he has chaired a number of Private equity and Venture backed companies.  He has extensive knowledge of Finance, the City and it's processes and is a very experienced board level contributor.  Prior to embarking on a non-executive career, Andy was CEO of Data Sciences, an International Software and Services company that was acquired by IBM in 1996.  Before that he spent ten years with ICL in a variety of senior roles.  He has wide experience of all aspects of the  Technology, IT Software and Services industry and has extensive International experience.  He is a Graduate engineer and past President of the Computing Software and Services Association.
