Civica awarded three year framework agreement for software licensing to education
Software licensing and services expert wins share of framework agreement involving up to 1.5 million school computers.
Civica plc, one of the UK’s most experienced providers of consulting, software and services for the public sector, is one of 16 suppliers awarded a three year information and communications technology (ICT) supply contract for Britain’s schools by Becta (British Educational Communications and Technology Agency).
Becta is the government's lead partner in the strategic development and delivery of the national e-strategy in schools. The three year framework agreement - which runs from April 11 - is part of Becta’s vision of providing best value ICT procurement options for 33,000 schools. This amounts potentially to one and a half million desktop PCs and servers across the country.
