CPP User Group Annual Conference at Stoke Rochford

The annual GM of the APP user group took place at Stoke Rochford Hall, near Grantham, on the 17th/18th October 06.The event was organised by the National Executive of Authority Public Protection Users (NEAPPU) and was attended by more than 200 delegates from over 100 Local authority customer sites, together with guest speakers from the FSA, TSI and DCLG.

Civica sent along 10 representatives from the Consultants, Hotline, Technical and Sales teams. They collectively provided ‘clinics’ over the two days looking at areas such as: GIS and Addresses; Interoperability; Mobile working and previews of the next version (including the new client database covered later in this newsletter). There was also a preview of the proposed new e-Learning offering – a new way of training due for release next year which attracted lots of interest...

Feedback from the event, which grows bigger each year, has been universally positive and the 2 days were a lively mix of learning, discussion and socialising. As previously, late-booking delegates were turned away due to demand for places, so customers wishing to attend next year are advised to book early..
